Here you can find what has been assigned for homework. Assigned homework is typically due on the following problem session.

Due on Thursday November 30th.

Assigned 11/14: Nothing.

Assigned 11/16: Nothing.

Assigned 11/21: Prove theorems 3, 4, 5 on pp. 176 - 178. Prove theorems 5, 6 on pp. 182 - 183. (Can you do these without looking at the proofs in the book?) Show that similarity of triangles is an equivalence relation on the set of all triangles. Look through the problems for presentation (Matt will present solutions).

Assigned 11/28: Nothing.

Due on Thursday November 9th.

Assigned 10/31: Prove Theorems 3 - 5 on page 150.

Assigned 11/02: Prove Postulate M-5 (page 96) as a theorem. Problems 10.3.1 - 10.3.2. Look through the problems for presentation (Chris and Danny will present solutions).

Assigned 10/19: Prove that ASA implies SAS.

Assigned 10/24: 1) Prove "The hypotenuse of a right triangle is longer than either leg". 2) Prove "Let F be the foot of the perpendicular from A to the line through B and C. If the segment through BC is the longest side of the triangle ABC, then F is between B and C." 3) State the converse of the result in 2. 4) Is the statement in 3 true or false? Proof?

Due on Thursday October 12th.

Assigned 09/26: Nothing.

Assigned 09/28: Problem 4.4.1. Read sections 4.5, 4.6.
