The first time you sign on, use your student ID number as your password. Webork Notation : 1) log represents the natural logarithm. 2) sqrt(x) is the square root of x. 2) x*y represents the product, x times y. 3) x**n means x raised to the power n. OFFICE HOURS THIS WEEK T, W, Th 3:30 - 4:30 PM F 9:30 - 10:30 AM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What you can bring with you to the final exam 1) A legal calculator, like those used on the first three exams. 2) A 4 x 6 card, a bit larger than the 3x5 you've been using. Since the 5 x 7 was originally the size, it doesn't exist, if you want you may cut a larger card down a 5 x 7 size and use that in place of the 4x6. Nothing else should be brought with you. Attached to your booklet will be a list of the Maclaurin series that might be needed together with the needed material for the trigonometric functions. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TABLE FOR FINAL EXAM There will be 20 multiple choice questions, no handwritten part. 12 questions will be from the material of the first three exams. The problems will come from sections: 5.5, 5.6, 6.1, 6.3, 6.5, 6.6 ("not" pumping liquid ), 7.1, 7.3, 7.4,7.7, 8.2, 8.6 8 questions will be from material covered after exam 3. That is sections 8.7 - 9.3 The table of Maclaurin series has a little mistake. The sigma notations following the series for e^x and sin(x) should be reversed. That will be announced at the exam. |

EXAM POLICY ( cheat sheets, calculators)
You should always bring your Washington University Photo ID to exams ; proctors will check student ID's . A small (3" x 5") index card may be used as a "cheat sheet." You may write on both sides and include any information you deem useful. Graphing calculators and programmable calculators are not permitted for this course. The following series of calculators are acceptable: Casio FX-250, Casio FX-260, FX-270, Casio FX-300 Sharp EL-501, Sharp EL-506, Sharp EL-520, Sharp EL-531, Sharp EL-546 TI-30, TI-34, TI-36 Note: Use of a prohibited calculator at an exam is an academic integrity violation. Any detected violation of academic integrity will be referred to the disciplinary committee of the College of Arts and Sciences. Just before each exam you can look up your exam room assignment on the web (see above, "check here on exam day" ) . The room will probably not be your regular classroom, and it may change for each exam. You will be allowed to enter the exam room a few minutes before the starting time to locate your seat and personalized exam booklet which will have your name printed on it in large letters. |

This comes from the Math Department page and it includes exams from the past semesters , starting with Spring 2000 . Copies of some of these exams should also be available to view or copy at the Reserve Desk of Olin Library.
