Textbook:
Fourier Analysis: an Introduction (Princeton Lectures in Analysis,
Volume 1)
by Elias M. Stein; Rami Shakarchi. Publisher: Princeton University
Press. ISBN: 069111384X
Topics: We
will begin with the basic theory of Fourier series and Fourier
integrals including their different type of convergence. Having
developed these ideas, which lie at the core of harmonic analysis, we
will proceed with applications to certain differential equations. This
will lead us to the theory of harmonic functions both on the disc and
the half-plane. If time permits, we will discuss generalizations of
these topics to higher dimensions. The course is not set in stone - any
relevant suggestions are welcome.
