On October 13, Lisa Kuehne (our University College and PLTL Coordinator) and her team completed the ULTIMATE HIKE, a 30-mile day hike of the Tecumseh Trail to raise money for research by the nonprofit CureSearch for Children's Cancer organization. "The hardest part," Lisa recalls, "is that we woke up at 2:30 am."
Lisa is to the right.
Hiking began at 4:30 am. "It all went well. The temperature kept climbing, though..."
"...By midday we all felt incredibly hot. I could feel the fatigue during the break..."
"... At the end of the hike, we were all pretty much exhausted."
If you would like to participate in this fund raising effort into a cure for childhood cancer, here are suggestions:
- Visit Lisa Kuehne's fundraising page http://www.ultimatehike.org/stlouis/lisakuehne and make a (tax-deductible) donation. Donations will be accepted until early November.
- Share this information with others.
