Analysis Seminar - Wong-Rosay theorem and its friends

Bingyuan Liu, Department of Mathematics, Washington University in St. Louis

November 18, 2013 - 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Location: Cupples I, Room 199 | Host: Prof. John McCarthy

Abstract: Wong-Rosay theorem is a powerful theorem in several complex variables which is originally proved by Wong and improved by Rosay. It has been intensively developed by many mathematicians (just mention a few) like, Krantz, Greene, Verma, Isaev. In this talk, we look at this field from a viewpoint of history and introduce some variations of the Wong-Rosay theorem. Last and the least, if there is a time, we introduce a new version of Wong-Rosay theorem on Kaehler manifold. How much we are going to talk depends on enumerate factors.
