Course requirements: Candidates for the M.A. in Teaching must take 30-36 hours of graduate work, divided between Mathematics and Education, with at least twelve hours in each. Mathematics course requirements: The student must take 15 hours of math courses at the 400 level or above. These must be beyond the following minimum requirements for an undergraduate math major double-majoring in secondary education:
Practice teaching: The practicum in teaching is met during the "Professional Semester," usually in the Spring.
