Math 302 - Elementary geometry from an advanced point of view

Course information

The course will be a rigorous development of Euclidean geometry along with an introduction to non-Euclidean geometry.

Tuesday and Thursday 2:30 - 4:00 PM in Cupples I, room 115.

Homework:

A few relevant problems will be assigned every class, to be handed in at the following problem session. The Homework-page contains a list of all the homework given.

Problem sessions:

Starting on September 7, every 2nd Thursday will be dedicated to problem sessions. At these sessions you will be given some problems to do in class, we will discuss problems from the last homework, and you may get selected to present a prepared solution of a problem.

Exams:

There will be two in-class exams during the semester (tentatively on Thursday October 5th, and Thursday November 16th). The final exam will be on Wednesday December 20th 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

Grading:

Your grade will be based on your homework (30%) and exams (70% = 20% + 20% + 30%).
