I present this timeline as an aid to learning M'gila 17a.
When Avraham was 86, Yishmael was born.
Fourteen years later, when Avraham was 100, Ever was 291 and Yitzchak was born.
Sixty years later, when Ever was 351, Avraham was 160, Yishmael was 74, and Yitzchak was 60, Yaakov was born.
Sixty-three years later, when Yishmael was 137, he died, and Yaakov got the b'rachos. (At this time, Avraham was already dead.)
The next fourteen years, Yaakov was with Ever, until Yaakov, at 77, arrived at Lavan; Ever was then 428.
When Ever died, at 430, two years later, Yaakov had been at Lavan's for two years.
Yosef was born twelve years later, after Yaakov had been with Lavan fourteen years.
Six years afterward, Yaakov, 97, leaves Lavan; two years later, he returns to Yitzchak. He had been absent from Yitzchok thirty-six years: fourteen with Ever, twenty with Lavan, and two since he left Lavan.
Nine years later, Yosef, 17, is sold; Yaakov is 108.
Twenty-two years later, after the seven years of plenty and two of famine, Yaakov arrives at Par'o; Yaakov is then 130.
