Information
for the First Exam
The first
exam will be Tuesday, February
3rd
at 6:30 PM. The exam will be given in several rooms. You can
find your seat and room assignment on Tuesday by checking here. (Your
room assignment will be the same
for the two other midterm exams, the seat assignment will change.)
You should bring
your calculator
to the exam and you may bring a 3" X 5" index card with notes; hand
written only, you may write on both sides.
The exam
will cover the material in
Chapters 1—7 in the book.

text was used those semesters
but the placement of Exam 1 in the schedule wasn't exactly the same. In
particular we are not covering regression, Chapter 8, on this exam.
Also, those
exams were prepared by other instructors with their own emphasis and
their own
styles. However you may find it useful to look at those exams.
