The Kadison-Singer Problem and
the Uncertainty Principle

Eric S. Weber

Abstract:

We endeavor to tell a story which weaves together the Kadison-Singer problem, the exponential functions, and the ``Heisenberg'' Uncertainty Principle. The goal is to compare and contrast what Kadison-Singer wants to tell us, and what Uncertainty does tell us.
