The department's requirements provide a minor with a broad range of courses touching many of the important areas of mathematics. In each course, a grade of C- or better is required (CR/NCR = "pass/fail" not allowed) for the course to count toward the minor requirements.
At least two of the
required
upper level courses for the minor must not be "double-counted," that
is,
must not be used for fulfilling the requirements of another major or
minor,
or the distribution requirements of another school at the University.
(This is particularly
relevent
to Engineering students.)
