I am an Assistant Professor at the department of mathematics and statistics of Washington University in St. Louis.

I am interested in the interplay between Combinatorics and Algebraic Geometry. More concretely, I study the combinatorics of Newton-Okounkov bodies and work with Schubert varieties as well as other subvarieties of the flag variety.

My research is partially supported by NSF CAREER grant DMS-2142656 and NSF grant DMS-1855598.

I co-organize the Combinatorics Seminar.

I finished my Ph.D. at Cornell University in May 2015.

My email is laurae (at) wustl (dot) edu
