I am an Assistant Professor at the department of mathematics and statistics of Washington University in St. Louis.

I am interested in the interplay between Combinatorics and Algebraic Geometry. Mainly, I study the connections bewteen polytopes and algebraic geometry, and work with Schubert varieties as well as other subvarieties of the flag variety.

My research is partially supported by NSF CAREER grant DMS-2142656 and NSF grant DMS-1855598.

I co-organize the Combinatorics Seminar.

I finished my Ph.D. at Cornell University in May 2015.

My email is laurae (at) wustl (dot) edu
