+ The Arch has a Free Museum (time permitting)
+ An option to Take the Tram to the Top of the Arch (tickets required)
+ People who want can Visit the Old Courthouse (next to the Arch grounds)
Transportation (WashU - Downtown St. Louis)
+ One can take public transit via MetroLink (recommended).
+ Board at Skinker Station at WashU (eastbound) → Laclede’s Landing Station.
+ The ride takes 20–25 minutes and costs $2.50 each way (cash or card accepted at stations).
Riding the MetroLink is an enjoyable way to see the city and offers nicer views than traveling by taxi. As with any large city, participants are encouraged to travel with a partner when using public transportation.
+ From Laclede’s Landing, it’s about a 10-minute walk (~0.5 miles) to the Gateway Arch.
